Cold Weather = Tight Muscles?

Cold Weather = Tight Muscles?

I'm sure you've all noticed the sudden drop in temperature recently! I myself have been walking around like the Michelin man with all the layers I've got on...

Many of you have mentioned how your muscles are all tensed up because of the cold, and it's giving you extra aches!

When we're cold, our muscles tense up to produce more heat, same as when we're shivering. This actually helps us keep warm.

That's usually no problemo, but if those muscles are already tight to start off with, then the extra coldness will start to create aches and pains.

So if that's you, then grab a scarf and a wooly hat! We lose a large portion of heat through our neck and skull. In fact your shoulders are quite often the areas where you feel most of the 'cold ache'..

If you drink herbal tea, add a slice of fresh ginger in. In Chinese culture, that's what we do when it's cold. Mama Chow says so!

I've also seen battery operated heated gilets in shops, that's definitely worth the investment.

Our clinic is always warm because I'm definitely cold-blooded

Baby Hugo is also wrapped up like a Chinese rice packet.

Stay warm and drive safe on icy roads!
