Eye examinations

Our eye examinations are designed to treat each person individually. Not only will we review the strength of your eyesight, but we will also check the actual heath of the eye itself so that underlying problems can be treated sooner, and therefore more effectively. We also specialise in children's eye care services.

Comprehensive test

You get more than just a standard eye test with us. Our eye examinations are specifically tailored to each individual person and check not just the state of your eyesight, but the actual health of your eyes, too. We recommend that you have your eyes checked at least every 2 years, and conduct both private and NHS funded eye examinations.

Children's eye care

All children can get a free eye test on the NHS, and with 20% of children having undetected eye problems you are encouraged to make sure your child is checked regularly. Our children's lenses come with free scratch resistant and UV protection coatings, and we can issue NHS vouchers to help with the cost of children's spectacles.

Spectralis OCT health check

Our Ripon practice has recently invested in the very latest equipment to make sure your eyes remain healthy. The SPECTRALIS® 4D HD Eye Health Check is much more than your standard sight test. It employs the use of a high-tech eye scanner to scan your eyes and look for very early signs of retinal disease. This technology is used on board the International Space Station to check the health of astronaut’s eyes and now you can have your eye health checked in exactly the same way here on planet Earth!
